ABOUT
Our Story
In 2019, I found myself at a crossroads after being laid off from my telecommunications job. As the world grappled with the challenges of the emerging pandemic, my husband encouraged me to pursue something that truly brought me happiness. One sunny day, while spending some time outside with my mom and some friends (6 feet apart, of course), the question arose: "Why don't we have ice cream trucks around here anymore?" It was a spark that ignited a new journey. I dove into the idea of bringing the joy of ice cream trucks back to our community.
Dottie: More than a Name
After a couple of weeks of searching, the stars seemed to align when I discovered THE perfect ice cream truck for sale in North Carolina. It was aptly named Dottie's, after the former owner's mother. The name wasn't just a coincidence; it was a connection to my grandmother, fondly known to many as Dottie. Because they were going to allow me to keep the name, it just felt like fate. Within a very short time, Dottie was on her way to her new home in Gray, Maine.
Our Mission
Dottie's Ice Cream is not just a business; it's a passion project rooted in the simple pleasure of bringing smiles to faces. Our mission is clear: to spread happiness, one street, one treat at a time. We believe in the power of sweet moments to create lasting memories and wanted to share that joy with the communities we serve.
Celebrating Five Years of Sweet Memories
As we step into 2024, Dottie's Ice Cream celebrates five years of bringing smiles to faces and joy to streets. What started as a response to a craving for ice cream trucks has become a passion for delivering moments of happiness to our community. I can confidently say that I've never had more fun at a "job." Every day is an adventure, and every ice cream served is a small piece of happiness delivered.
Sincerely,
